Loch Coruisk, Isle of Skye Elopement

Paloma & Rory, Loch Coruisk, Isle of Skye

Isle of Skye Elopement Photographer

I hope that everyone is well and staying safe during this challenging time. I’ve been reminiscing and going through some of my favourite weddings from last year. Next up… an amazing Isle of Skye elopement.

Paloma and Rory planned a beautiful wedding ceremony at Loch Coruisk, an inland fresh-water loch, lying at the foot of the Black Cullin in the Isle of Skye, in the Scottish Highlands. The loch can be accessed by foot, but it’s quite a trek, so the easiest way to access it is by boat from Elgol ran by awesome guys at Misty Isle Boat Trips. The ceremony was conducted by Neil Lynch who, as always provided a poignant, funny and personal touch.

We started and finished our Isle of Skye adventure at the beautifully secluded Kinloch Lodge where Paloma and Rory were staying during their visit. If you’re looking for a beautiful remote hotel in a stunning location on Skye make sure that you check this place out.

We headed for a drive after our boat journey to the always impressive Silgachan where we hiked and were surrounded by the mountains, colours and atmosphere that Skye never fails to deliver.

It was such a pleasure to be in the company of these two amazing people. It’s always such an overwhelming feeling to witness two people at the height of their love making a bond amongst such epic surroundings. Everything had been planned perfectly in order to make their day one to remember.

They were kind enough to leave me a lovely 5 star review:

“David was a great person to have involved in our elopment. From the first contact he was professional and easy to talk to. He actually helped us get to and from the place where we got married and was a really nice guys to hang out with. He put both me and my husband at ease and the photographs were amazing and precious memories of the best day in our lives. He presented them to us in a beautiful box quite quickly. We would recommend him to our friends and family, and to all nice couples out there looking to have a top photographer and person in your wedding.”
