My last wedding before the lockdown... and what a way to go out.
Jennie & David
Crear, March 2020
This is a wedding that I won’t forget for a long long time. Not only did it involve the most lovely people and an absolutely stunning location, but it was my last wedding before the Covid-19 lockdown came into place. Jennie and David were lucky enough to be able to tie the knot just before the restrictions came into place and I can’t help but think that it was meant to be.
I stayed at a cottage near the venue with my family for a few days and it was such a memorable experience. We all knew that something big was on the horizon, so it was extra special to be in a remote and tranquil location before the world changed forever.
As for the wedding… it was just incredible. Such a lovely couple, an amazing venue and an awesome bunch of guests. I was really made to feel like part of the party, which is exactly how like to approach weddings.
Crear is located at a very remote and beautiful part of Scotland. It’s situated right next to an amazingly secluded beach, which we ventured to after the ceremony for some family pictures and portraits of Jennie and David.
A huge thank you must go out to the team at Crear. They were an absolute with which to work and they really looked after me and my family during our stay.
I’ve been in touch with Jennie and David fairly regularly since the wedding and I honestly see them as friends before clients. Such a lovely, generous and thoughtful couple.
They were kind enough to take the time to write me such an overwhelming 5 star review. This job can be so rewarding.
“A trustworthy tradesman is worth their weight in gold and that's what we found in David when we asked him to be our wedding photographer. Both being introverted, we appreciated David's kind and patient nature, putting us at ease and making the idea of having our photo taken less intimidating! What really touched us was how he got to know us, taking an interest in our day but also in who we are, you can't put a price on that kind of heartfelt approach to work. This is where his passion shone, his passion for photography but also for his clients. We really experienced this passion when we came up against Covid-19 just a week before our wedding, with the odds against us and all of our plans unravelling, David stood with us and made the day extra special, bringing a calm reassurance to the situation. He captured moments with subtlety and grace, helping us make sweet lemonade out of the unexpected lemons we had been given. We were blown away by the quality and beauty of his photographs and his attention to detail but mostly by his friendship to us. We invited him to be a guest at our wedding and we wouldn't have had it any other way. Although he enjoyed a meal with us he also remained focused on the task at hand, truly a professional! Yes this is his business but it is his passion and you are instantly made aware of that when you meet him. As well as taking photos on the day we recieved an artisan wooden box that included a USB stick with all of our photographs and a slideshow, along with some prints and sweet treats! This is all included in his package and we were so blown away by his generosity and craft. We have now ordered one of his beautiful albums and know we won't be disappointed by the final result. We are so grateful to him for blessing us with his gift of photography and could not commend or reccomend him enough. Thanks David! Jennie and David Austin x”
