This is without a doubt one of the most spectacular buildings, not just wedding venues, but buildings I have ever had the pleasure to photograph ...and it's really easy to access from Glasgow and Edinburgh.

After a short drive from Glasgow to Wymess Bay ferry terminal, a very short ferry crossing to Rothsey, Isle of Bute and a beautiful drive along the coast and amongst the green landscapes of the island... you've arrived. It was probably only 2 hours door to door.

The history of the building and the island has always been fascinating to me, so when Shona and Gavin approached me to photograph their wedding it was tough to contain my excitement. 

This was a beautifully intimate wedding in the building's very own chapel, followed by a very rustic reception at nearby farm. I could have explored the building and the island for days!
