Let It Snow! Intimate Edinburgh Winter Wedding.
Maria & Keith
The Dome, Edinburgh, December 2021
Despite what you may think, snow on a wedding in Scotland is actually quite rare. Well it is for me anyway. It’s only happened on a couple of occasions in my ten years of photographing weddings… so when it started to snow straight after Maria & Keith’s ceremony, I jumped at the chance to get them out on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. It worked out pretty well.
These guys were amazing throughout the day. They really made me feel like part of their day, which is always so beneficial when shooting intimate weddings.
Our original plan was to go up Arthur’s Seat for photographs, but that had to get scraped (see previous comments about the snow). We agreed that a good alternative would be to go to the nearest pub to dry off and have a couple of drams.
It was an absolute pleasure to photograph this couple of Irish beauties and their day will certainly be one to remember.
Maria & Keith were kind enough to leave me a 5 star review. Here’s what they had to say:
“David, we cannot thank you enough for the absolutely beautiful slideshow and amazing pictures you sent us. We also cannot thank you enough for being such a calming and fun presence on our day! From the moment you arrived you just fit in to the day, and you got some gorgeous shots of things I missed while I was being pampered! Your eye and your personality made us all feel so relaxed, it felt like we had known you forever even though we only met in person on the day!
The photos you have already sent us are absolutely magical, I love that you just followed us around and captured the day, that is exactly what we were hoping for and we love it. Every spare minute I get I rewatch the slide show!! I think you really captured everyone’s personalities, and I just love that.
Honestly, I will never be able to thank you enough for giving us such incredible memories of our day, and letting us relive it every time we view them!!”
