Winter Wedding at Winton Castle, East Lothian
Laura and Cameron had the most amazing wedding in February 2023. The whole day was so awesome. The bridal party were really great fun and the whole guest list were on top form.
Their wedding was perfectly suited to my style of photography; fun, relaxed and full of emotion. It certainly gave me an amazing opportunity to capture the day in my usual candid and fun way.
Winton Castle, located in the heart of East Lothian, is one of Scotland’s most beautiful and historic wedding venues. Nestled amidst acres of rolling countryside, this 15th-century castle boasts exquisite architecture, elegant interiors, and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. And with its warm and welcoming atmosphere, it provides the perfect setting for a winter wedding.
… and what better way to warm up than a good old Scottish ceilidh. The dancing was so fun to capture. Ceilidh’s are always so great to photograph. Everyone gets flung about every which way, so I had to keep on my toes in order to avoid getting hit by a flying elbow or two.
I’d definitely recommend Winton Castle to all of those planning a wedding. Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement or a grand celebration with family and friends, this historic venue is the perfect choice.

Laura and Cameron were kind enough to leave me a 5 star review. Here’s what they had to say:
What can we say? It was an absolute delight to have David photograph our wedding. He was so lovely and funny and put us at ease from the word go. He allowed our personalities to shine and we really enjoyed getting our lovely photos in the castle grounds. He captured so many special moments. We were so delighted with the slideshow and full album David produced. A fantastic mix of candid snaps and gorgeous group shots. Do not hesitate to book David as your wedding photographer.
