Rustic Modern Charm: Wedding at Broxmouth Courtyard, East Lothian

Gayle & James brought a touch of magic to Broxmouth Courtyard, where I had the privilege of capturing a truly unforgettable wedding. This stunning venue near the East Lothian coast, effortlessly blends rustic charm with contemporary elegance, creating the perfect backdrop for a celebration brimming with personality.

The courtyard itself has been beautifully restored with its exposed stone walls and carefully curated modern touches. The surrounding grounds are absolutely perfect. From the fields of wild garlic amongst the woodland to the beautiful lake, we were spoiled for choice for portrait locations.

This wedding had an added element of pressure as James is a videographer who I have worked with at many weddings. On the one hand it was very touching that he wanted me to photograph his wedding, but on the other hand, there’s always an added bit of pressured working for someone you know. I didn’t need to worry though as the day was perfect.

The rustic yet modern aesthetic of Broxmouth Courtyard was beautifully reflected in their wedding style. From the delicate floral arrangements to the carefully chosen decor, every detail exuded a sense of effortless elegance.
